3rd trip to Thailand, came as a fatty first trip to Phuket and Chiang Mai, 2nd trip was Chiang Mai and Pai 3 months, then all of 2014 in Pai and Charn Chai. I had 10 fights for Charn Chai, One on my second trip, and 9 in 2014. Got a few double entry visa's, made a trip out of leaving to renew though, going to Malaysia, Cambodia and Vietnam on separate occasions. most recent trip was One year. had trained in Pai briefly and knew I loved it up there, was an easy choice to come back to CCMT. Bee and his crew love Muay Thai, its in there blood, they pass that love on to all the students, structure of the sessions is great and well organised. second to none, Bee, Ae, Tree, Turbo, Phet, Yo, Kong, Keaw, Bami and Moo Hin are the best trainers going. Lets face it, every gym has bags, rings, open areas ect, its the trainers and there teaching that make a camp in my humble opinion. And this crew are the tits. All good, I was there a year and my Thai is pretty awful because of how good there english is haha. All you need, nothing flash, but enough to get the job done, good quality bags, ring and matted area, great value for money twice a day at 8k a month. pretty standard for northern Thailand. Id say we were in Chinag Mai or Pai fights on average Once a fortnight for the entire year, heaps of the students fighting in CM or in Pai. had 10 fights for CC, first fight in 2013 was at 85kg when I was a fatty lol, then the next 9 fights were at 75kg, Won 7 lost 3. all good, first fight was a bit of a breeze, possible tuk tuk driver hahaha, was at Loi Kroh and have never fought there since, we fight at Kalare Night Bazaar. No accom provided at the gym, but Bee is the Man in Pai and knows everyone, so hit him up for accom, theres about 5 different places a stones throw away from the gym. - Joy is the best cook in Thailand I'm sure (and the loveliest lady), she cooks the meals at the gym twice a day after each session, amazing, fresh and healthy. Pai is great for food, from street food to restaurants its great quality food and much cheaper than down south. great local places ro chill, on a saturday most of the gym heads into town, Bee loves singing a song and telling us all stories, (unfortunately for our ears, so do the other trainers Turbo and Tree who are not the best singers hahaha) not as much as CM or BKK or down south, but its more of a chill town. I have trained at 6 camps around Thailand now, (only 3 long term but still) Charn Chai is where its at, from beginners to fighters, Bee goes step by step with you. It is such a lovely family gym, where you really become one of the family. If your coming to train for a fight, they will (literally) kick your ass to get you in shape, I primarily trained with Kru Yo when I was getting ready for my fights (i would mix it up when not training for a fight though) and I feel he is the greatest trainer going (only ones come close is the twins at Hong Thong) he is amazing, Bee and his team are fantastic to all who come to the gym, just like many of you, we all have the choice at which gym to go to, and theres a reason so many people choose this one... its Legit. cant wait to go back to my second home and second family back in Pai.
