AWESOME in capitals!!!
i have a teaching degree for primary / elementary school
warping young minds so i can create an unholy army !!!
http://www.muaythaifocus.com/ranking.php
here you go.
Xoums don't worry about too much the heat, not in low season. Yeah rains cool down a bit, I mean, it's still hot, but you'll be fine within a week. Just fallow simple rules, you already know - drink plenty of water, etc, etc...
I used to have it also, but here in europ, always when i was at the coast.
doctors tought it was allergies and even wanted to operate my nose!!!!
allergie testing showed me is was allergic to pollen, grasses trees dust perfume birds cats etc etc
well i decided 2 months ago that it is crap and that i was just having low immune system.
i made sure not to get cold anymore ( like not walking barefoots on a cold floor) wearing a t shirt to sleep etc etc
and i was better allready.
last month i took echinacea and vitamin c and stopped it after 1 week, still take multivitamin
now i go swimming in the sea everyday, lay down in the high grass , work in the garden and have no cold or allergies at all!
yesterday i went to the specialist and he couldnt believe it, he tought i was taking his meds but i dont take anything at all! just vitamines!
My name is Larry, I'm 23, from New Orleans, Louisiana, USA. Been in love with the sport for long time. Recently quit smoking cigarettes and looking to get my ass back in shape and maybe fight a mf'er or two. Traveling to Thailand seems very interesting and I may look into going there one day. Peace!
yeah man i hate leaving too.
more motivation to save money and go back though
50,000 baht should be waay more than you'll need for only a month
That's what I figure too, but I'll be doing a little bit of traveling also. I just have a nightmare of being caught in a country like thailand w/ no money, etc. I almost assuredly won't spend that much, but I'd rather play it safe.
Legacy sounds really good. Does anyone know what their trainer ratio is? MMA is really not my focus; my focus is really just solely getting my striking better.

Yes, it's a well known fact that after knowing a girl for a period of 132 days, all her VDs disappear.
yeah , even when u watch his moves/tips ...you can see that massive TKD influence.
You can polish a turd but it'll still smell like shit.
use the different variations of the plank exercise to build up the strength in you back and core
yeah mate, it happens. its actually nice to know that others get this feeling aswell and it isnt just me.
write down a programme with exactly what you will do each day and at what time and try to follow that. also mix it up. hitting pads for everyday 10 years in a row gets boring as. some days just spar or clinch or something.
I am bored like hell at work right now, so I would like to open up and continue a discussion that Blake and I had over the Facebook chat the other day:
I am assuming that you guys here, casual or hardcore fan, practitioner or not, have seen a fair amount of fights in various disciplines. The intrinsic fights aside, what is your take on the before/between rounds/after fight gimmicks, for lack of a better word?
Personally, I like MMA, but I think their borderline-WWE ring entrances are ridiculous, and the same with the over-commercialism that often goes with it. Guys walking to the ring fully clothed as if they were going to the grocery store, with track pants, shoes, two t-shirts, an under armor, and a tuque. The hell?! And also, I fuckin hate ring girls... don't get me wrong, I have nothing against sexy chicks, just that in this case they are absolutely useless and take way way too much spotlight. Pretty much every regional MMA organization website I have seen has huge galleries of ring girls, but pretty much nothing about the fighters themselves. If I wanted to see softcore porn, I'd hit a XXX website, and if I do so, I'd better not see galleries of mixed martial arts fighters, damn it!
Now, as far as muay thai is concerned, there is no "and in the rrrred corrrrrnerrrrrrrr" pre-fight bullshit, just the wai kru and ram muay, which are something I really enjoy watching when executed correctly. Then, the whole thing is completely centered around the fight itself, until the end, when they just exit the ring and move on to the next one.
What's your take on that?
meh. I bet you've no idea what I'm talking about.
what?
Hey
What are training camps like in thailand for gays and lesbian people, are they pretty homophobic places>? Anyone got any experiances of peoples attitude towards gays that training in thailand?
CHeers
I don't think being a grandmaster makes you better than many others in the sport. Theres plenty of others that just go by their standard name with no title and have added the same if not much more to the sport. Bit of wank and marketing really.
Suits the humble nature of Muaythai. Doesn't need the marketing and hype associated to other striking arts like karate and kungfu.

Round 5 from wally fighting in Pai
He has won his fight on points, for anyone interested in rounds 3 and 4 have a look on youtube.
This rave was the reason I got thrown out of medical school - true fact.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_I-ayzTxyis
I'm out there somewhere jumping around and chewing my own face off...
try holland
I would not recommend the silver fox unless you want a wrinkly old thai mans hand patting you on the ass in between rounds, getting covered in spit and being repelled by an overwhelming stench of garlic at the same time, and not being able to understand anything he says whatsoever. Only number he knows in english is five.
How many knees? Fifty? Yes
Five hundred? Yes
Five? Yes
#)(%)$*(THGKJDFG
Even funnier was that he used to get me to translate to all the new falang but I had no fucking idea what he was trying to say at any time
You sure you wern't being tricked into saying "Khup khun ma ka"???
you cant have everything mate lol
Ben has
how many days out of a normal thai training week would you say to take out for strength training?
Silom Rd. Are you directing him to Pat Pong inadvertently? The first time I went to Krung thep with the wife, we stayed on Soi 22 or Silom rd. We ventured down the road one night to see what was going and discovered Pat Pong. WOW!! I was not bothered at all because I was with her but every group of guys were being bombarded by women. Have fun mate.

You were at Keat correct?
Yeha, Chai still was building this camp when he came to Lanna last year... He's a cool trainer, very obsessed with perfecting technique... especially elbows.
Although when we were sparring, he wasn't as good as say, Kem or JR, prolly becasue he doesn't fight anymore.
And when he gets drunk, he's a bit touchy feely. But so is half of Thailand, so who cares, right?
Yeah stick around-you so funny
http://vimeo.com/10003821
just another clip I quickley threw together last night
Haha, well if he was pissed off then I don't want to imagine what he'll be like when he sees this reply video I made for him...
If there's one thing you shouldn't do it's to send a hate-video to someone who is a bit handy with an editor and has too much time on his hands...
Three cheers for e-bAtTLeS!!1!
In my unasked for opinion, Jaroenthong had some sorted shit. Willing to teach whatever they were asked about, but also push you a little harder on the bags. Lessons were short 2 hour, but there were 3 or 4 (?) available each day.
Yeah, the prices were fucking ridiculous, but had I stayed I'm sure I could have shown them the light. I wish I did more there.
Here, if you're more like this guy, and less like yourself, then you'll kick arse.

nah it was fun, i will miss him. I actually got him to hate me, thats an achievement for me.

Anyone looking for decently priced quality protein in Chiang Mai can PM me, I can sort you out.
Pah.
See, the blue background doesn't strain my eyes at all. This is the bastard problem with designing sites; what looks good on your own computer set to its own brightness, in its own resolution in your personal browser might look crazy in someone else's settings. Of course I'm aware of this but I really did think that the white text on blue background looked okay and wasn't hard on the eyes.
If I make all the blue darker then maybe that will help. Although that'll take ages because a lot of the background is made of loads of images rather than just a CSS setting.
Crap.
Ah well.
And yes, there was once a search function on the forum and when I'm done converting over the whole site to this new layout I will sort out the search function once and for all. And it'll cover everything, not just the forum. Hoorah!!
PS: Thanks for your feedback :)
Pink G-Strings are in young man... you must be old skool.
Akira - The gym is good bro -big, open, good mix of fighters and people training for fitness plus it is clean-bathroom clean, toilet clean, floor clean.
The trainers are a good mix to = one is a young strong boy wanting to spar hard and is happy to knock u around or be knocked around, another trainer is the skill guru, he takes time to show you and teach u everything plus the other boy is prob a mix between the two -hard boy but great at the job and always happy to help.
Love this gym
Yeah I always wanted to go and take a look at it but it's so far from my apartment in Bang Kapi. I've heard good things about it.
I don't need to prove anything. Your words are all thats needed.. you are a liar and a big mouthed dick.
Its been rare to see anyone swear and insult as much as you .. you do it like punctuation yet you insist other people are bad mannered and rude to you.. look in the mirror and i don't mean at your untrained gut.
Fairtex is expensive but worth your money.
Witch fairtex are you planning to go?
The one in Bangkok or the one in Pattaya?
I lived for a while in Fairtex Pattaya with my Thai husband who was the head trainer over there that time, and the trainings are good, you get enough attention for sure and there is a lot of luxury around like fitnes, swimmingpool etc.
Good luck with finding the right place!
Regards,
Trudy
how was he trying to be sarcastic, he was giving a beginners point of view
Khoa Sarn.... avoid this place like the plague unless you like fuckhead drunk hippie scum bags and aggressive dick head tuk tuk drivers turned ping pong show pimps...I hate that place.
Unless off course thats your thing...
Whoops...he's that way inclined is he? So, the trips & training in Thailand is all for show eh?
He enjoys a dabble then? Or is it just the copious amounts of Chang beer he's downed first?
Don't worry Blake your secret is safe with us!

Threatening to throw rocks at dogs does not really work on first attempts... I mean, they do not understand the "weapon" concept unless they're repeadativly belted with that particular object... so...
Dogs work on body language; it is what they evolved for, to judge herds of animals, spot weak or young ones. Follow them around and piss them off until the animal gives up (sometimes wolves stand off with herd beasts for up to a week or so).
Making yourself appear unafraid and strong will have more impact on a dog than pulling out a taser or handgun and threatening it...
spar as many rounds as you can. AT LEAST 3 min rounds, 30 sec break. Wear headgear. Do it properly.
circuit - less than 5 min:
do these with NO break between exercises. If you falter doing pushups, DON'T STOP - go on your knees... during jump-squats/lunges, just do the standing version.
30 sec pushups
1 min jumpsquats
30 sec knuckle pushups
1 min jump lunges (back straight)
10 triangle pushups (forefinger and thumb touching)
30 tuck jumps, knees high, jump as soon as you land (clearing at least 1m)
10 pushups with hands turned 90 degrees inwards, middle fingers touching
10 burpees (tuckjump followed by pushup)
then go for a run.
then do it again.
then start training.
yes, inject HGH directly into your penis.
good idea.
Recovering from my latest fight i took some time out to interview the Manager of Suwit Muaythai for MTL, sit back and enjoy my discussion with Kittisak.
hope you enjoy.
Blake: Please tell us how Suwit muaythai started and abit about its history.
Kittisak: Suwit muay thai gym has been operating for more than 20 years. Mid, the head trainer now used to be a fighter when my father Suwit ran the gym. Suwit is the owner of the gym and has always had a passion for mauythai.
Blake: So what is your role in the gym Kittisak??
Kittisak: the last 3 years i have managed the gym, previously my father ran the gym. only in recent years has the gym included foriegners, before the gym had up to 20 thai fighters living at the gym. now there are about 6 full time thai fighters living here.
Blake: Is Suwit gym famous for any speciality??
Kittisak: Our approach depends on the fighter, if he has something special we develop his strength, but we cover everything about muaythai.
Blake: What do you think about Falang fighters??
Kittisak: In another 5 years or so the standard of falang will perhaps match the thais. 10 years ago the standardof falng wasnt as good as now. foreigners are improving. Thai people arent as bigso we cant compete at the higher weight levels. It is a good thing muaythai is spreading to be famous worldwide.
Blake: What do you think is the most difficult thing for foreigners learning muaythai??
Kittisak: In my experience the knee. many falng train kickboxing and dont use the knee or clinch when fighting or learn it correctly. this can only improve from fighting real muaythai competitions and training in real muaythai.
fighting is a the real learning experience, this is why thais understand muaythai, they train and fight often.
Blake: Any big plans for the future??
Kittisak: We are currently building a new stadium right next to the gym so we dont have to change the gym every friday night for fights.
we may also take on more thai fighters soon and perhaps build more rooms in a few months to accommodate more foreigners. we wish to have internet in the rooms, and we may also build a swimming pool.
Blake: Any thing you wish to say in closing?
Kittisak: It is good for foreigners to come to thailand to learn real muaythai, i am happy to see thailands national sport, the real muaythai, spread to the world.
i heard (maybe rumour) that sasiprapa has some good boxing.
and i think sityodtong had some boxing champs too..
best bet would be to ask rob cox aka muaythaifocus on this website.
you made some good points there clugston
thanks!
Top review Sarah, next time i go 2 Thailand after my trip in Dec i think i'll head 4 chiang mai.(from Sydney).

i don't think you have to pay for getting evacuated by your (or another country) army. we have a thing called taxes, this is why you pay them... so the military can protect you from scary foreigners with bombs and guns
I would skydive everyday, race motorcycles, and fight as often as I could. My thought is that it is better to burn out than fade away.
Who's a bar girl? My gf is a teacher you assclown
Good gym... too bad they lost their best trainer though
Is Nom Yai camp on Soi Yok Song?
Ritti, i wasnt talking about the g string, its the tapout tights that make me laugh..
The gym has a promotion for new year, check website www.fightingspiritgym.com
What started out as just being inconvenient is now totally off putting and annoying. There is a refrigerator here that the foreigners use and is off limits to the thai kids and even the trainers. My trainer, however, tends to help himself late at night and i've witnessed him doing so many times. now i don't mind sharing at all, but i'm on a tight budget and he usually takes nearly everything and sometimes all of it before i can have any. for whatever reason he also thinks i'm his personal atm too. he frequently just walks up to me, sticks his hand out, and says however much he wants.
.
An ATM is a machine that pumps out money when u press a button. That guy comes to you , sticks his hand out n you pump out the money.......you ARE an ATM.
Heres what i did. In my nicest most concerned voice i said that ok no problem but i kinda need the money later on cuz im headed to...insert whatever. I'll give u the money but u gotta pay it back by......insert impossible day n if u cant pay no problem. I'll just go to the owner and he can minus it from our future privates.
When he was like no no i'll pay u ...dont go to the owner ,i said that no it works out good for both of us. If you cant pay me back i cant afford the privates. Since im going to be getting privates from u later on , the owner can just pro rate it.
It also helps that at key moments u cant understand the details of his plan cuz of the language barrier. Recognise that trick ?
Well that was the first and last time he ever tried to borrow money from me.
As for the food thing.....just start making good natured fun of him.....in front of everybody. Rub his stomach n say " God you're getting fat" or "Heard someone creeping around last night n thought it was my bitch....nah it was just him". Puff your cheeks out like its stuffed with food n point at him.
Seriously dude ...grow a pair. You're a grown adult now, not some pimply pre pubescent getting his lunch stolen.
I also notice that I increase my belly fat when I don't train at all especially combined with beer ... Does anyone have similar problem?
sounds medieval to me...
I wouldn't want to train in a place like that either.
why are you on this sight if you dont train?
Yes, Blake! You are indeed the most elderly smackhead on here!
An original old-skooler, from back in 2003, when I set up the first forums which then got hacked by someone proclaiming that Allah is the best.
Ahh, good old PHPBB open-source forums and its infinite bugs and backdoors.
taking the piss too much?
Pussies...
I drink drive all the time. It makes no difference. Not for me, anyway. It depends on the person, I guess.
A lot of inexperienced riders stack it at Tiger coz they can't drive for shit. Not know if that is you but, Miko.
Was the stack your own fault, or some other dick head? There are a lot of bad drivers in Thailand.
yes me too.
I didn't want to be a bother for the owner ofthe website so I didn't send him a message about it and was (still) hoping that it will be working in a couple of months......
I agree totally!
I will be asking him on Thursday! He might just think us girlies want to attend a boxercise class. LOL!
If he doesn't then I might go to another gym just for the sparring!
I want to enter some fights before I get too old!
Anna, have you had any fights?
Monday morning i have the pre examination. In the evening the operation, so i will decide then what option would be better. I just can;t wait waking up and be able to see
