Well then, I will make sure I purchase the Lanna trilogy from you soon. Thanks for the heads up. If you wanted a good ad system, you should check out www.mmaadnet.com they pay per impression. it's worth checking out.
What I may do is upload the articles to your site after they have been on my site for a month or so, if that is cool? That way, when the post is new, people will visit it on my site, and after it's around for a while, I will add it here, so that people who read that one, may look for others on my site. I do the same thing with Ezinearticles, although I have to strip all the pictures and video from the articles to do that. I may not have to do that with yours, but I have to check it out first. Sound cool?
Dan
Thanks Sinatra.
Just read this on another site though which makes me think it's not going to be an option:
"From May to October the boats from Phi Phi Island to Ko Lanta do not operate due to strong winds and high waves in the monsoon season. During this time the private transfer is the only choice to go to Ko Lanta."
Ah well.
my mam and dad are wanting to go to koh samui :))
41 on saturday according t my thermo but the govt here wont report above 38cos it means constructions workers have to down tools
Thanks ads- lucky for me I already have an owl that can fit in the palm of my hand, so that's one less thing to worry about ;)
Pfff, what proof can you possibly offer that this claim is true? I refuse to believe it.
And yes, it's common practice to take a big bag to Thailand but for it to be as empty as possible. You can then load up on stuff to bring home. However, when it comes to buying equipment for your gym be sure of three things:
1) People pay you up front.
2) You charge them about double what you pay for stuff over there.
3) Don't be afraid to say "NO".
See, boxing equipment is very bulky and it's such a damn hassle buying it and carrying it around if there's more than a few things. You'll get people wanting to take the piss by asking you to buy 5x pairs of gloves and 3 focus pads and blah blah blah, like this stuff is just 5p each and doesn't weigh anything or take up any room.
Look after number one out there, Sarah. FORGET EVERYONE ELSE!!!
Maybe this is why I have no friends. Hmmmm.
i reckon next time im here for a short stint it will be tiger due to having mma aswell, as from what i hear it just seems to keep growing,
suwit was good to me in the time i was there in phuket also.
i hear good at about sinbi too. those would be my 3 choices in phuket bt each for different reasons. and as will says its about what YOU out into it.
Yep I totally channel the georges river. Its my local river. Every time I punch I act like its high tide and I'm rushing that shit into the shore like when I'm punching that target in the face. Rivers, best ever. channel the water god. Fuck yeah america.
Punching up?
I think I'll stick with my way. I know it works.
Actually, it's impossible to teach someone how to strike correctly, I think. If you want to strike with power, sure there are the official ways, turn the hand as you strike, flick the hip into it a bit, move the shoulders toward the target. Regardless, you can learn to do that in one day, but it will take years to learn real power. It's something that cannot be described.
Best description I could give for power; learn to flow the body naturally. If something feels unatural then you're doing it wrong. The body is mostly made of water; striking is like channeling a river. Learn that flow and you will learn to follow through on your punches.
Have fun Rachael - I never really considered there to be any difference between myself and the guys because I don't really think of gender as an issue, but I'm not convinced that they always felt the same! I think the trainers went a bit easier on me than on the boys and they never put me with the Thai boys to clinch, but that might not be for any reason in particular. Also, I think alot of guys still have issues sparring with girls, whether they admit it or not!

whatever man i may take you up on a muaythai fight il have to see
i dont really care anymore i know i could beat you if you want it that bad
i dont even know why i lowered myself to your level..
As my trip to Thailand nears, I have been looking around for cheap plane tickets to Thailand. If anyone has good sources or sites, feel free to post. So far I have found a site that offers the tickets for $575 USD from America
http://www.cheapticketsclub.com/airfares_asia/cheap_tickets_to_asia.html
That's 3 of us in agreement then.
Tenchu, don't be scared of the gay guy. You should use the opportunity to get even bigger portions. String him along a bit like the bar girls do with their many boyfriends. You could have an admirer in lots of food outlets.
And besides you're a 100kg pizza and dougnut eating fighting machine. What's he gonna do to you?
.
meh. i'm already asian. if that's what i wanted i could just crank one out in front of the mirror.
Moriniuk, I already answered what is more expensive. Once more for the spastics then; It depends where you go, what you do, and how you get around. I got more ripped by Muay Thai gyms in Bangkok than I think is going on here. The taxi here seem to charge more, but that don't effect me on my motorbike. There is the usual fulung targeting restaurants and market stalls that rip you off big time, so just dont go there. Aside that I think it is all the same. You just have to know the ins and outs of things.
Also, the females pay little attention to me... just men. Last time I was in Laos for visa run this woman was with another female friend and a guy, she was waving at me. I went and talked to them and drunk some beer. After about 5 minutes both the girls had left and I was left talking to a gay guy for 2 hours. Why? I only engaged more in conversation with him because he was more out spoken, and the girls were shy. If they had have said something I would have replied. Oh well, I am married, and I am not looking for female bed partner, it is just a disapointing observation.
Blake, I have been there every day almost for the last 6 months. My wife is with me 99% of the time, he knows, he dont care. Charuek, my wife, reckons he thinks that if I am gay I will ... you know... with him regardless that I am married, so that is why he is persistant.
Why am I talking about this?
I will ask about the name tomorrow lol.
It is in an Ampere of Nakhon si thammarat, not in the city of nakhon itself.
And dave, you think I should? The three trainers does not really speak english and I am merely a student there.
However I do have basic Thai to get by with.
Tenchu, so do you mean you are interested?
Hey torchai,
Thanks.
Will there be any difference for beginners who want to train for fights and for beginners who want to train but not for fights ? Is there any different routine ?
Basically, wrong techniques, angles will be spotted specificly and corrected specificly if your training for a potential fight ? or it will be the same for those who ain't training for potential fights ?
Will the trainer be teaching the techniques throughly for beginners ? They will teach the techniques in form of shadow boxing right ?
Haha, the trainers will beat the students with stick if we slack ? Hehe
keep running more.

Great, let me know how he is doing ok
Bob Sapp played one game in the NFL and was cut by 4 different teams. Also, he was an offensive lineman, not a linebacker. Not a valid comparison at all.
I'm sorry but NFL linebackers are pretty damn phenomenal in terms of mixing size, speed, strength, and power. They don't come off the field every other play (some teams rotate defensive lineman, not linebackers). They are constantly sprinting full speed and then making hits, then resetting and doing it all again. While their skills are not necessarily what you'd want for muay thai it's absolutely ridiculous to try and downplay their athleticism.
Dave, the colour thing depends on whether your're talking RGB (like TV, monitors) or CMYK (like printing, ink). You're both right :)
Don't you love the women on TV who almost deafen you with their super "KAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"... sounds like a kitten getting it's balls ripped off...
as above after good value accmodation on koh samui preferably near super pro.
only has to be basic nothing flash but secure, would also like tv fridge and fan.
any suggestions?
you dont need to be buddhist to appreciate the fucking annoyingness of a teep in the face.
man, im sure this is just tenchu posting a wind-up.
but yeah there are some hot ladyboys.
One of my mates, Boo/Seang-atit Sasiprapa is fighting Seanchai Jirakriangkai tomorrow at Channel 7 around 2pm Bangkok time.
You can watch the fight for free online at
http://www.thailivetv.com/ - select Channel 7
Despite Boo's new terrible haircut, this is going to be a tough fight as they are both top class fighters. They have met 5 times previously with each fighter winning twice and one resulting draw.

Tims is 100% right.
yeah thats pretty much my opinion, just another insight into MMA from a fresh perspective.
Hi, did anyone train with Kru Tak in Pattaya?
I am sure you could, but only if you have reasonable skill.
Everything is compromisable in Thailand, remember that.
If you excel in fitness and have good technique and are clearly determined then tell them you want to step up a level and they will, even if you dont want to fight, I think.
The idea is the ring is for serious people, more so, other than people just fucking around, even if those people have reasonable skills.
Go where they tell you to for the first days, however, just to make sure you really are ready to step up before you ask them for it.
Go for it - I'm sure it'll all work out fine in the end.
kim kim. running in flat shoes without support (or even runners more than 6 months old) can give you foot and shin problems... like shin splints n stuff... so my podiatrist says. so... yeah. think long term?
Hey, I know that guy (Ross). I talked to him several times at a ghetto boxing gym in Connecticut. He's a super cool guy, fit as hell, and very knowledgeable about training. I think I'm going to head on over to his site and pick up one of the books.

hey i am coming to thailand for a year and will be staying in the cheapest accomodation. i am not sure if i should take laptop, good digital slr camera, mp3 player and phone.
i understand saying why not just stay at home if you want your luxuries but it is a year and i dont know if i could really do without for that long, if it was only a month then i would not bother.
on the otherhand i dont want my belongings to control me. maybe i will not be able to relax thinking about them getting stolen.
any advice?
Get some trainers from a specialist running store like RunnersNeed.co.uk
Shoe's there are no more expensive than normal sports store
they can give you the best advice
And btw,well done!
How come you don't believe the story? Do you think it's an actor? Explain yourself more, Alex!!
ok big boy.
I get really excited about fighting when I land a good combo on someone... it doesn't happen very often but it really makes you feel good when it does.
Your fav / most used / guaranteed to hit combination?
* Disturbing the front food (sweep) and then a jab cross works almost every time for me.
Also for some reason, people at my gym don't protect their midline very much and my teeps get through pretty easily so:
* Distract eye level with jab, fake cross so they raise their hands followed by a teep.
Does anyone have any more complicated combos?
Don't give me any bullshit 12 move combos either, they'd never work. No fly kicks and nothing that involves turning your back towards the opponent.
^ wot he sed
i kno loads of ppl who leave tigers and train elsewhere and say its ten times beta elsewhere
the place is pure cardio no technique apparently, i find it pointless dat ppl come half way across the world to train cardio i dnt need to pay money for dat, i can do my own cardio. But, ive never trained there so i cant comment, but when loads of ppl complain about the same thing, u cant help but think maybe they have a point.

Well just having the experience of training in Thailand, whether its for 1 week or 1year is more than some people can say. Im going for a month, and hopefully the next time I go will be longer. But I live in NJ (yeah...I know), and Ive met some people who live in NJ as well and have never been to NYC...now thats sad. For those who are going to Thailand to train or just to have fun...either way be grateful.
youve always pulled guys organs anyway dave, just not the way steve g says to.
man that video was a crack up to, palm slap to head to defend against a double leg take down. have they ever heard of a sprawl??
dont get me wrong i think all martial arts are good. i know some quality wing chun people and even some that can use taijiquan to a decent level. but this stuff is just shite.
i hope the fight with akira happens. please post his email reply on here if he replies back
this thread has really made my week.
Nah you have to be Australian for crocodiles to let you wrestle with them.
What to do to prevent getting bad from the food?
How is the food at camps where its included? Allright portions?
Cool NukMuaYing! Never Gymless is the one I'm working off at the moment. You won't be dissapointed I guarantee it! I'll probably order Inifinite Intensity as well but for now I've got plenty to keep me occupied.
Let him keep em in. If they get torn out you can just call him a stupid lil fucker.
actually i dont think people abroad understand how offensive a queue jump is and how it can actually result in a good slap. worst ones are elderly chinese ladies.
I also hate bastards that walk 2 or 3 abreast in the street and expect you to give way...errm am i supposed to walk into oncoming traffic you bellend. Or people that hog the escalator or wait til they get to the bottom before they decide where the fuck theyre going.
Also shop assistants who immediately start tidying shit up before you've even finished looking at it, especially shirts. Plus why do they hide the pricetag inside stuff, means i have to open a shirt up to find out i cant afford it, why dont you just put a lttle sign saying "Shirt.Price: Fuck off, you can't afford it"
Also people who think Barrack Obama will be a good president just cos he s black. Er, excuse me? Isnt that the kind of thing we ve trying to get rid of for years?
And the stupid cow who cut my hair the other day really pissed me off.
and crapping. Why do i have to crap? what the hell is that about?
i want the new COD game too.
it looks a bit costly. but still sounds good.
